Fork and Spade follows the first summer of New Lands Farm, where a group of refugees from Congo, Bhutan and Burma learn to become independent sustainable farmers in the US. Over the course of one growing season the farmers tell stories of persecution, ethnic cleansing and war as they adapt to their new home.
